Review: Came here on a Restaurant Week deal. Decent food but that's about it.

Review: Ok food. Been back a couple of times on some voucher deals. I guess can't go wrong here but just not particularly good.

Review: Pretty quiet the night I was there. But I kinda like it. Just felt like a comfortable non-pretentious place where one can truly relax.

Review: Went there a couple of times. First visit was good while the 2nd paled very much in comparison. Only worth a try if you have a deal or something..

Review: Reasonable set lunch, seated in a covered outdoor area. I remember service was rather slow though.

Review: Rather happening bar. Perfect place to see and be seen! Will be back to try their dinner.

Review: Nice brunch place, though I find the menu rather limited. Obviously more popular with foreigners than locals. Outdoor seating looks good.

Review: Korean BBQ near our place. Quite a hearty meal actually. Just a bit lacking on the alcohol options.

Many first attempts. The Tomahawk was the most successful of all. Restaurant standard if I may say so myself! ;) Roast chicken's pretty good while the braised duck needs further improvement. I was asked why it looked so skinny and black -_-

Metallica concert (13Aug13)

I must admit that Metallica is a little past my time. The only song I know from them is the all too popular Enter Sandman! BUT I really got blown away by their performance. They're damn good, period. There was so much energy in the house I'm sure everyone had a blast that night. Hope the awesome video loads!

First concert in SH

Attended an All-Star concert at the Mercedes Benz Arena, which was the first of many concerts to come. Love this indoor hall. And also love S for getting us box tickets bid through SPG points. A little further away on the 2nd level but it's comfortable and exclusive. Anyway, this was like a karaoke session - only live with my favourite karaoke stars! Elva Hsiao 萧亚轩, David Tao 陶喆, Harlem Yu 庾澄庆, Fish Leung 梁静茹 and A-Mei 张惠妹！Plus another 2 from Voice of China. Slightly nostalgic as these were the people I listened to growing up. To be able to see so many of them perform live (albeit just 3-4 songs each), I felt truly 满足了。

Singapore 2013 NDP party #1

Welcoming Charmaine our very first visitor! I think she was here even before the furniture ;) Went to The Cathay Room at Peace Hotel (和平饭店 20 East Nanjing Road) for lunch which I found to be quite pleasant. Simple white-washed setting and pretty decent food. Turned out reasonably priced for us due to a 2-free-1 deal. Otherwise, perhaps a tinge expensive. It was lovely having Charmaine around for our Singapore National Day party on Aug 9th. She made a name for herself on that day..all thanks to her impressive party trick! Sabering a Champagne bottle with a Champagne glass. Beat that! (We have evidence to show on the wall) You can also spot the sabred top in the last photo :D Goes to show what an awesome party it was.

Doggie stayover

Tasha never had a friend staying over so this was really her first! She's not very interactive with other dogs (just bochap them) but at least Mojo the shitzu could stir some interest. And being her very sweet self, she even let Mojo sleep in her bed while she took the floor. Cute little ones :)

Having fun with the live lobster bought from our favourite online grocery store fieldschina.com. Life's so much better with Fields. Avid supporters we are.
